Genesis 46:16 names him as a son of Gad. His brothers were Tsiphyon (צִפְיוֹן), Chagi (חַגִּי), Shuni (שׁוּנִי), Etsvon (אֶצְבֹּן) - or possibly Etsbon - Arodi (אֲרוֹדִי) and Ar'eli (אַרְאֵלִי).
Numbers 26:16 places him in the tribe of Er.
